I Love Christmas!

Oh, boy. Everyone’s so busy these days! How’s your Holiday Gift Giving List shaping up?

Between work, and writing, and our recent election, somehow the holidays are suddenly upon me. And while this is certainly my favorite time of year, sometimes things get hectic. Do you wait until the last minute to finish your shopping?

I’ve got a simple fix to share with you this year. Here’s a tutorial on how to gift a book via e-mail. Yep, it goes right to the recipient’s Inbox. What could be simpler, right?

Amazon has a cool function where you can give a book as a gift, and deliver it electronically via email, or right to their Kindle. I’ll use my latest story, Marmalade’s First Christmas, as an example:

Step 1: Log into your Amazon account.

Step 2: Choose the book you want to give as a gift. Go to the book’s page on Amazon: Example:

Step 3: On the far right hand side of the book’s page, choose “Give as a Gift.”

Step 4: Enter the recipient’s email address, and personalize your message, then place your order. You can even choose WHEN you want the gift to appear in their email.

I think that function is so cool – you can deliver the gift on Christmas Eve, so their book will be waiting for them on Christmas Day. It’s kinda like playing Santa Clause, with books!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this short tutorial on how to gift books to readers on your 2016 Holiday Gift Giving list.

So, what about you? Are you guilty of waiting to the last minute to shop for the holidays?
